How We Try to Make a Difference

We realize that we work in an industry that hasn’t always been known for its environmental friendliness. However, Laronge Photographie Couture pledges and strives to do business that achieves the highest quality product while minimizing the impact to our Earth.

Digital imaging has been a great step forward for photography in both quality and environmental stewardship. Through a 100% digital workflow, we are able to reduce the amount of paper and chemicals used on a typical event by 66% or more. We try to use rechargeable batteries whenever possible; eliminating us putting approximately 400 AA batteries into landfills every year. We reuse and recycle as much as we can. We drive hybrid cars. We use only top of the line equipment that not only produces the best quality images but, because high quality equipment lasts longer it gets used longer and replaced less. And, we try to only work with supporting businesses that practice good earthly citizenship.

While it’s always easy to point at things that if not done might be better for the Earth. It also needs to be understood that while human existence inherently is a detriment to the Earth, part of human existence is celebrating life. Laronge Photographie Couture has found that practicing environmentally friendly activities gives clients products of the highest quality and timeless memories of their celebration.
